Del Duca Liberal Candidate Again Caught Supporting Highway 413

Only Doug Ford will build Highway 413 to save commuters time and end gridlock

TORONTO, May 19, 2022 – A Del Duca-Wynne Liberal candidate has been caught once again supporting Highway 413.

Jannat Garewal, the Liberal candidate in Brampton East, who was previously forced to backtrack on supportive comments about Highway 413, is now telling her constituents that while the highway won’t be built right away, it will be eventually.

In a debate posted online on May 18, 2022, the Del Duca-Wynne Liberal candidate stated, “I think the Liberal Party of Ontario and the Liberal leader Steven Del Duca knows that we need a university before we can start digging up a highway, then that way people can actually use the [highway] 413 and everyone can use it, not just for truckers, but commuters from Caledon.”

Even while Steven Del Duca continues to say NO to Highway 413, this is now the second time this candidate has supported Highway 413.

Why?

Because she knows that drivers don’t want to be stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. They want Highway 413 to help end gridlock and save drivers up to 1 hour each day.

Unfortunately, Steven Del Duca and Andrea Horwath continue to say NO to building the highways Ontario needs.

Only Doug Ford and the Ontario PCs have a plan to get it done by saying YES to building highways and infrastructure like Highway 413.

Sheref Sabawy and Doug Ford are getting it done for families in Mississauga.

It was a project that we had been pushing for for a long time.  And we were excited to finally be able to make the announcement (albeit with some social distancing in effect).
