October 2, 2024

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MISSISSAUGA – Today, the Ontario PC Party announced that Sheref Sabawy has been acclaimed as the party’s candidate for Mississauga-Erin Mills in the next provincial general election.

Since being elected in 2018, Sheref has secured significant investments for the community, including the South Common Community Centre and Library renovation, additional long-term care beds, and the Hazel McCallion LRT.

“Sheref has been an outstanding representative for Mississauga-Erin Mills, delivering major infrastructure projects and driving job growth,” said Doug Ford, Leader of the Ontario PC Party. “He’s fought hard to keep costs down for families, stood up against the Liberal carbon tax, and worked to ensure our communities are safe. From building roads and highways to attracting key investments and training workers for better jobs and bigger paycheques, Sheref’s leadership has made a real difference for local families. I know he’ll continue to be a strong voice for Mississauga-Erin Mills.”

Together, Sheref and the Ontario PC Party will focus on key priorities for Mississauga-Erin Mills, including building roads and infrastructure, attracting investments and delivering more affordable housing for families.

“I’m incredibly honoured to represent the people of Mississauga-Erin Mills,” said Sabawy. “Our community has seen incredible progress, from new infrastructure projects and better transit to more homes and long-term care beds. I’m committed to building on this momentum by attracting more investments, training our workers for better jobs, and keeping costs down for families. Together, we’ll ensure Mississauga-Erin Mills remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
